First off, what a great forum!
I have a 94 XLT, with am/fm/cassette head unit. DNR is on the cassette door, and this is apparently a premium sound system.
I saw a web site where the owner had a picture of the Mach 460 sound system in his mustang. The picture showed a factory head unit and a separate factory in-dash cd-player beneath it. The head unit looked exactly like the head unit in my '94 XLT.
1) Does this mean my head unit effectively has an input for a cd player? Does this head unit have support for a "factory" cd-changer? Crutchfield sells a ford changer, but claims it is for model years 95 and up.
2) I pulled the head unit out of my dash. On the back of the unit, just above the audio output jack, there is an unused connection. Can anyone tell me what this connection is for?
regards,
jsb
