I am wondering why my system's volume shuts off but still lights on when I bump for a few days. I have a sony explod hu and a legend 1200 wtt amp to two 10'' audiobahn subs in my car. I have the same set up on my X but with different equipment, My question why does the car shut off and not the truck. Could it be that my accessories wire is too thin or that the power line gauge is not large enough? If anyone has even the slighest idea of what it might be please drop some knowledge.

Insufficent vehicle electrical system
Insufficent cabling to power amp.
Frayed or shorted remote turn on lead.

there is a lot of reasons why.
What size power wire.
Are you running the amp with rca's or off your speaker leads.
What other speakers do you have hooked to your deck?

What is the output of the alternator on the car, trucks of any kind tend to have higher output alternators then cars.
What is the gauge of the power and ground wires, it should be at least 4 gauge (4 gauge would be the absolute min, really for 1200 watts i'd use 0 gauge). Your remote turn on wire doesn't really matter, it is really low current just as long as it isn't damaged.
