OK, stupid question. I managed to get the stock antenna cable removed - tied a string to the end of it before I did that. Now, I did manage to get the new antenna cable through the hole in the firewall, but it seems to be binding and won't feed through. I'm hopeing that I don't need to remove the entire dashboard in order to get the cable fed to the stereo... any ideas or suggestions?

when you attached the string to the new cable, did you wrap with electrical tape and try to center the string on the cable. Starting at the back and wrapping the electrical tape forward.

also sometimes it helps if you have another person holding tension as you pull it thru

Something so simple! (Hopes). I'll give that a try first thing in morning and advise how it goes... Thanks twcvette for the reply...

No go. Twine busted and I ended up breaking my glovebox door in the process. Looks like I'll need to pull the dashboard away from the firewall and take a trip to the pick n pull to find a replacement glovebox. :(

Picked up a glovebox at pick n pull - $17. While I was there, I scrounged up some screws and some of those plastic push pins used on the interior. Removed all four screws at the top of the dash, two push pins on the top front passenger interior molding, three screws holding the molding near the bottom, another push pin passenger floorboard, another screw holding the dash - right front passenger near bottom - behind molding. Pulled back the dash on the passenger side, and that was enough to run a 48" antenna cable through the access hole in the cowl and under the dash to the stereo. Leaving the female end in the cowl - did that so exchanging out another antenna would mean just unplugging the connection, not having to run the whole cable again through the dash since the cables are hard wired to the antenna. Job is done! Hope my troubles help out someone else if needed! Thanks guys!
