Two part longish post but i didn't want to make two threads.

I put the silver metallic 6disc Pioneer out of my old '01 Sport into my '95 XLT today, i used the harness from my '01 and rewired the '95. It went smooth, long, but smooth and my rear controls work. I did not hook up the illumination wire which is the red/black wire on the '01 harness. It should go to the blue/red in the '95 harness if my calculations are correct but when i hook them together and turn on my lights the whole display shuts off so i disconnected them. It's not a big deal because the buttons are few and i know where they are but the black hole in the dash kind of bugs me.

I may bypass the amp later on but for now i just wired the factory amp in like my first gens.

I'm getting ready to put another 1000watt amp in for my highs in my '93 and i was just wondering if instead of running all new speaker wires i can just use the wires coming out of the factory amp. In theory it should work fine running my RCA cables to my new amp and then speaker wires from the new amp to the original speaker wires but i figured i'd ask to see if anyone else has ran them that way.

With the speakers: as long as you don't send the signal through both amps you should be fine.

Cool, thanks

I'm just going to remove the amp and use it's output wires for my amp. I honestly can't see running all new wires from amp to speaker when they are already there.
