Bushings can make noise.. its not bad.. Poly bushings usually make noise.. still not bad, just anoying..
Some people use bushing grease (not sure what it really is) to help get rid of creaking. you seei tmore often when people upgrade the sway bar bushings to poly.. They almost always squeek/creak.

not sure if its the shock, i will probably go ahead and replace it anyway
as far as grease goes i might try it, i will give it few more days just to see if it stops makin a ton of noise.

turns out that it was actually a failing auto hub.
i pulled the hub off and just drove a few feet to find out what was going
and it turned out it was something going on inside the hubs.
howw much are new auto hubs?
or maybe a manual hub conversion?
it a 93 explorer 4x4, with electronic shift on the fly.
