supposedly the release date for sales should be very soon... someone had mentioned summit racing selling them for 199.. someone who knows more should chime in ssoon

I've been watching Summit for a few weeks now. Expected ship date has gone from 06-02, to 06-07, to 06-10. When they actually list them as "In Stock" I'll think about forking over some money.

I have had them on order since 4/16 at summit, My order tells me the expected arival at summit is 6/13.

They are not sold by the pair, they are $199 each.

i see it says these are for the 4wd models....

would it still work w/ a 2wd??

i think they just do that for the site to mean they r for trail riders... the 2wd suspension is still 4-wheel independent... no different

Nope 199.95 a pair, confirmed and reconfirmed and paid for with Summit. The shipping date is now 6/21. Who knows, Vladi at Rancho said that they would ship more units to coincide with the rebate promotion. By the way the promotion is now advertised on the Rancho site with a big banner. 50 bucks back on a pair, that makes em 149.00 not bad I guess, even though its only a modified shock. I'm in, just waiting.

Dig this. Summit e-mails me and said they made an error on there web site concerning the Rancho quick lift. the price is 199.95 each. Would I like them to ship one or would I like to order a another one. It appears 97sport was right $800.00 for 4 modified shocks no thanks. The summit web site is now changed to 199.00 each

ok well question....
ik this sounds gay but i was messin around trying to see what 2 inches would look like...hah so i took two car jacks and literally "jacked" my mountaineer up 2 in.. but this was only on the rear (one on left side one on right) and it looked pretty badass...

so would it hurt to just get these on the rear for a while and maybe later on get em in the front when i could get up enough money?

or could that mess anything up being lifted in the back and not the front?

just wait till you can afford the whole thing...

ok .... well still just outta curiousity...would it work or would it mess something up?

also with this 2 in lift how big can you go on tires w/o rubbing

I would put em up front first to get that level look. I dont think it would bother a thing. I got 32's 265/75/16 on now w/no lift, they will hit up top from time to time. I think the 2 inches would give me enough room to raise all the hell I wanted. But for just around town and strickly for looks something that equates to 33" would probably work ok.

This may be a dumb question, but I thought you couldn't put a lift kit on the 3 Gen explorer? Is this for the 2 door or the Sport Track? Please don't get my hopes up for a $200 lift for my Explorer.

They were supposed to ship @ the beginning of the month...still haven't.

Yes they are for the 4 door.

No it isn't a 200 lift....try 800

How do they get by the issue of the axle passing through the frame? Or is this a body lift?

They are struts. They use the stock coil.

You can get away with the 2inch because of the space. If you try to go higher you'd have issues.

Well that really sucks ass that they are $800 now. I was really looking forward to buying them. Looks like cold air intake will be the first upgrade then and not the shocks.
