Ranger bumpers on an explorer

Hey, has anyone swapped ranger bumpers onto an X?
I did a search, read alot of posts, but found nothing too helpful.
I have a 96 X looks like it needs a new front bumper, I haven't removed it yet,& found a 99 ranger bumper, nut sure if it will mount or not.
Has it been done?
What years will swap?

Ford Ranger to Explorer bumper swap?

Did you ever get a chance to swap the bumper? I want a 99 ranger bumper for my 97 explorer...just wondering? Thanks

I think the frames are different widths.
