First off a big hello to everyone out there on this awsome forum! Now onto questions, I want to do the 5.5" lift from superlift I think it is. Now I have a 91 ranger XLT and was wondering if I can pull the rear end out of ranger and put into the explorer to skip the SOA work on the explorer and still get the rear lifted?

Wow a 3 min reply. Thanks for the info, didn't know there was a difference from ranger to ex. I am just trying to avoid welding or using the brackets (rattles drive me nuts). Guess I will have to do the SOA on the ex.
Thanks again.

Wait for it...

The 8.8 out of Ranger FX4 Level II's have 31 spline axles, a clutchless limited slip and 4.10 gears. Same strength as the Explorer with better LS, gear ratio and is spring over.

Just gives you another option, yet probably expensive and kind of hard to find.

But I'd just advise following the above linked Dannyboy thread, super cheap and easy to weld new perches on.

Is it the same width?

He's got a '91 Ranger to work with here. :)
