I have a customer that wants about 2" of lift but I don't want to crank the torsion bars and make the ride stiff, and all I'm finding are 98+ Ranger torsion keys. My experience with long travel kits says Ranger kits work with 95-01 Explorers so I'm wondering if the Ranger torsion keys work? Anyone have any insight?

Yes they should work

That's what I thought...just wanted to make sure.

Control arm angles, shock travel, and ride quality will be the same by just twisting the bolts.
If you run out of threads, get longer M12x1.75 bolts. Lift keys offer no benefit, do a search.

95-97 used Kevlar wear pads on the keys, 98+ used wear pads on the frame...

They are not the same.

TT or indexed keys... Same thing. It takes "x" amount of twist (spring pressure) to lift a vehicle to "y" height. You can get "x" amount of twist anyway you want... You will accomplish the exact same ride quality at "y" height anyway you get there unless you change the torsion bar.
