rattle from engine when warm

I have just ( six months ago ) purchased a 98 Explorer and have recently noticed that when I start my engine from cold there is no rattle, but when I have driven it for a short time, then stopped the engine, when I come back and re-start it there is always a rattle from the engine especially when I put my foot down. Has anyone got any ideas as to what this could be ????

It could be the timing chain tensioners. Do a search here for 00M12 (I think that was the recall campaign number) or timing chain tensioner. There was a recall on most Explorers with the 4.0 Litre SOHC motor of your vintage.
