Re-gearing question

I'm sure it's been asked before but here goes.

When you re-gear (let's say go from 3.55 to 4.11 gear ratio), how did y'all recalibrate the brain box? Do the speed sensors have to be changed?

You'd have to recalibrate the speedometer, you can do this with an SCT tuner. Its possible that a ford dealership could do it for you, not sure on that.
 






the tire size makes the difference in the gear swap,, you try to make it as close as possible ,,

I used an SCT tuner. Supposedly the dealer can reflash the computer for you instead. Not sure what that would cost though.

Dealer charges a little over $100 if I'm not mistaken...
And it does make a diff in shift dynamics if nothing else...
Truck needs to know a actual speed to make proper shifts....
