Just curious, I wanted to know about that bolt that goes through the spring pack. I know I have to cut it down after I have it all together, but is it supposed to be loose? I don't know if it is all right to leave it like that or not. I got it as tight as I could before I put the axle back on, but when I put the U bolts back on, it loosened the bolt. What the heck. Is this O.K.?

Thank you

Andy

Same thing happend to mine when I put it back together. I had the guy at the shop I goto use an inpact whrench on it. The problem I had was that I could not hold on to the top tight enough in order to tighten the bolt.

i got locking pliars and clamped on to the bottom of the bolt and tightened the nut with a wrench. made it real tight and hasn't budged yet...

by looking at your signiture line, I can fit 31" tires no problem eh?

I had 31's at stock height without any rub. Now I have a 2" Sky too and plenty of room.

31" tires won't rub as long as you don't go in full compression with stock height (stuffing a tire completely in a wheel well doing 3 wheel action). with the 2" torsion twist in the front and the warrior shackles and add a leaf in the rear i have no problems fully stuffing my tires in whe wheel wells. you won't have any rubbing with just the shackles, but i have the add a leafs for extra load capacity without having rear sag. hope this helps

oh blaine, i just read the beginning of this thread. now i have to warn you to watch for that center bolt, and make sure it doesn't break. you're not supposed to toghten the leaf pack just with that bolt. that bolt is only supposed to keep the pack centered. you were supposed to tighten the u bolts first then that one last. there's been a long thread about this. add-a-leaf bolts this should help some.
