For awhile now the Rear Antilock light randomly comes on and goes off in my '92 Explorer XL. I have always assumed it is just a short in the wire as the brake fluid level is fine and I do not notice any problem with the brakes.
Was wondering if anyone could comment on this.

Thanks

My first car was a 92 XL model. Rear antilock came on after playing in the snow one year. Sometimes, you can fix it with a simple rear wheel sensor, other times the best fix is to remove the bulb. In my case, I pulled the bulb

The rear sensor is on top of the axel. Pull it out and clean it off and re-install.
