Recently realized that while I can control the temp and fan speed of the rear climate control, I don't seem to have the option to control whether the heat blows out the top or bottom vents. Does anyone else have the ability or the same problem? There is a control for this on the back of the console that the back seat passengers can control. I can't fathom for the life of me why the driver wouldn't be able to control this at the front.

You can control the position of the air in the rear seat, see pages 137-138 Ford 2020 Explorer's Owners Manual, here are a couple of screen shots. Vent controls are only available from the rear climate control.

I read the OP's post as noting this but wanting to be able to adjust more then fan speed and temp from the driver's seat. I too don't understand why every other comparable vehicle on the market allows the driver to easily set temperature by numerical digit, and not just lines on a graph. For my 2020 Limited, I'm disappointed this is something I can't do when I can easily do it from my wife's 2020 Kia Sedona.

I was hoping Forscan would offer some way to make this reality, but I haven't seen this option as of yet.

Although I haven't actually checked it out since I don't use the rear HVAC, the write-up in the Explorer Manual is the same as the one for the Aviator. Therefore, I'm guessing only the front temp can be set by an actual desired number vs a graph. But then the heated/cooled seats don't work using an actual requested temperature either.

The other issue is that if someone in the second row adjusts the temp/fan speed from the rear controls it shows as blank from the driver's controls. The sync between the front control and rear is flawed, aside from the rudimentary control ability.
