ok i tried searching this question several times and i only get a white page, not sure if its my computer or not. here is my question i have a 98 exlorer sport, about a year ago i replaces the axle bearings and seals. i was changing the oil and noticed that one of the seals was leaking so i jacked it up and went to remove the wheel and noticed there is about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch of end play on both sides, is there a way to shim the axles to get rid of the end play ?? :us:

Excessive endplay like that is a sign of work clutch packs in the limited slip assembly. That still seems like A LOT of play. Did you actually measure the play with a Dial indicator? or Tape Measure? Or are you just guessing at the amount of play?
