Rear Seat Head Rests

Hello All,

I am new to the forum. I just purchased a 2001 Explorer XLT 4D 4WD. I didn't care for the mini-vanish feel to the 2002 Explorer so, I purchased the 2001.

Anyway, I have a question. Can you remove the headrests from the rear bench seat in the 2001?

I took a look at the headrests on my 96 (which should be the same as the 2001) and I could not find a way to remove mine without breaking them off.
