I previously removed the rear sway bar links and am looking to reinstall but I seem to have lost some of the hardware. Should there be a washer where the link bolts to the frame? If so, frame side or bolt head side? Also, any ideas on diameter and thickness?

just did a set today. i thought the washer wend on the bottom between the link and the bar!.

I did my set yesterday, i got the Energy Suspension set. I will double check tomorrow but this is how my set up was

Link to frame
Bolt - washer -link - frame

I just found some pictures, the link to frame mount pics aren't very good bu you can get an idea of size. The Energy kits came with 4 washers. I kept the stock washer on the link to frame and used the new washers on the link to sway bar. Hope this helps

Wonderful. Thanks for the quick reply all.

Replacement rear end links don't include any hardware. Rear end link repair kits such as the Moog K80085 only include the lower hardware. I don't care for the frame u-nuts and wanted to find a better way without drilling new holes. Fastenal?

Good resource there. I was able to get the proper bolt at the ole Home Despot, I figure I should be able to hunt up the appropriate washer there too.

you wouldnt happen to have the part numbers to the end links, and sway bar kits do you?

Energy Suspension 4.5153R 19mm Rear Sway Bar Set. It didn't come with any upper link hardware.

Greg, I'm sorry I'm not sure what you mean by the rear frame mounting brackets? But I'll make a few guesses.
If you mean the leaf spring shackles those came with the truck, someone made them and they are now removed
If you mean the mounts that hold the swaybar to the axle, those are stock I just painted them

I got my Energy suspension kits from Amazon and Summitracing.com

Let me know if I answered your question

Right, I meant the brackets that secure the bar and large red bushings to the axle. I live in the salt belt in eastern canada, so mine are sufficiently rusted and will probably need replacing. I really wish the underside of my truck looked like yours!

Ah, gotcha. I miss salted roads, I moved to California too young to enjoy working on a rusty undercarriage. I'm sure you can pick them up at any junkyard. This coming weekend I am probably going to a Pick your Part (50% off sale) I can pick you up a set, just pay shipping and what I paid for them. Though shipping may suck. Check rates through USPS.com 92704 is my area code
