I guys,

I am new here and I have a question regarding my rear swing arm.
I have just replace my shocks and I realized that the rear side of the car is extremely low. I always new it but I was thinking that was a shocks problem.
I have found another picture that confirm my theory...Look like my swing arm (or something else cause it) turned onto a "lower position".

This is the picture of the rear when I was replacing my shocks:

and this is a picture that I have found in this forum...do you see the difference?

I need some help for figure out what I have to do in order to fix it...

Thanks

Nico

ok
see the little "3rd shock" on the inside right side of the axle? That is fully extended in your picture and the reason the left side is drooping more than the right side. That is of no concern.

There are no "swing arms" in your picture.

Now, the reason for the leaning to the left is usually caused from a sagging leaf spring. Try changing the leafs side to side and see if it rides more level.

@ Turdle:

what is the bar that go across the rear axle then?

This is my car: http://flic.kr/p/8ffpwk

the picture above is another picture that I have found here on the forum.

Thanks

nico

then there is something else that cause this problem (swing bar "bended" downward)

The rear height is probably 2 or 3 inches less that the front height!

Anyone know what I have to do in order to check in the adjustment of the rear height have something wrong?

Your leaf springs are sagging, it's a common problem, there is nothing you can do to adjust the height. If you want to lift it up then you can add an add-a-leaf, lift shackles, or replace the leaf springs. Or if you want you can lower the front to match the back with a torsion twist. If you search for any of those terms you'll find lots of info about them.

Ah, ok!

thanks a lot for your help then.
And a sagging leaf spring can cause the "torsion/rotation" of the swing bar too, correct?

This is a point I have also noticed-
a proper riding, level, 2nd gen explorer the lower end link always appears to sit lower on the driver side. The upper mount- frame hole is lower on the driver side , to counter the gas tank + driver weight.
