So I had a rear window hinge bolt strip on me. I ordered a set of hinges off Ebay and when they showed up, they were way too large and had nipples (reading around it looks like they are called shock nipples). I verified that the listing stated that they were for my vehicle, but looking around now, I don't see any hinges without those nipples.
I have a 2002 Explorer Sport (2dr/2WD). Where the nipples should go, I see a dimple where there should be a hole, but it is not punched out. Attached is a picture of my stock hinge and the one I purchased. Has anyone else come across this? Thank you in advance for any info.
