i had my front locker installed yesterday and i decided to have them take it down to the alignment shop and get an alignment after they did that. I wanted to do an alignment because my tires are toed out/ \ pretty bad and my tires are starting to wear un-evenly. I went to pick up my truck and they said they couldnt do the alignment because i needed to replace my upperball joints and inner tierod ends. I searched and im going to pick up some moog upper ball joints/control arms within the week and install them my-self. My question is about the inner tierod ends. How much to replace? Are they hard? WHy would they go out? Im not really familiar with replacing the inner tierod ends and could use the input. Thanks, Matt

They're not too hard to change, just take measurements before you take it apart and when you put it back together, make sure it's close to what it was before. Then head to the alignment shop. You'll probably need a pickle fork or similar tool.
Did you already buy the parts? If not I highly recommend buying Spicer/Dana ball joints and tie rod ends. I've seen cross-sections of every major steering and suspension component brand, and Dana/Spicer are far superior to the other on the market, because of design and materials. They also carry a lifetime warranty, but unless you have other problems, you won't need it. If you do buy them, make sure they have blue dust boots, this indicates they are the latest and strongest version. You can buy them at NAPA and some independents.

I havent bought the parts yet because im a little busy this week and im going to the southern trailfest this weekend. I will probabily go buy the parts next week some time.Id like to get Spicer/Dana ball joints and tie rod ends but there probably a little more pricey than the moog or what ever good ones i can find. I will look in my haynes manual too on how to do the balljoints and the inner tie rod ends. I will look into the spicer/dana brand though. Thanks, Matt
