Since Cream Puff is down for a couple weeks for the dreaded timing chain replacements, I choose to tear down the front seats to recover them. Pics coming soon. So far the tear down has been pretty straight forward, only a few hog rings to work around.

Are you installing your own covers? Who makes them?

Who is doing the timing chain work?

Can’t wait to see!

Subscribing to see the new seat cover pics.

lseats.com are making the ocvers. They currently do NOT offer the 06-10 seats ....YET ;) Just simple stock replacement leather. They are easy enough to re-skin. I am doing the timing chain PITA. Will also start a thread on it as half the battle is pulling the engine.

I am going to post a random pic just see how to do it here. It seems every forum is different.

It appears posting pics HERE is super easy. Here are ACTUAL Cream Puff pics. Please holler if any of the pics do not display.
Thanks

To remove the seat side panels you will need to remove the sitch covers. They pry off easily with equal pressure at both ends straight OFF of switch. Then remmove the seat belt anchor from seat. Removing the seat skins is pretty self explanitory as there were no real hidden tricks. You must unbolt the upright from the base(1 side at a time) to remove the upright skin. You will have 2 sets of 3 hogrings to bend open to remove skins (upper or lower). In order to REMOVE the headrest you must push the little detent button to raise it all the up. Then the OTHER guide has a small hole in it that you can use a small allen wrench to depress the spring lock inside while pulling upward on the headrest. It should slideo ut easily. Now to remoe the guides from the seat you must go iside the seat frame and squeeze the bottom of the guides and push up.
