Any body know where to find red fog lense covers for a 2000. Is there a way to make the clear ones red tinted? I am not worried about the legality issue....

They should look kinda like this link:

testors transparent candy apple red just spray it on but expect to get a ticket almost immediately

Would you get a ticket even during the day when they're not on?

I never use them (day or night) and I figure it shouldn't be illegal to have them if i didn't use them. What do ya think?

Usually when you pull the cats tail you get scratched.
I wouldnt want to give the cops a reason to pull me over and maby do a saftey check or something like that.

You WILL get pulled over, even if they're not on. You cannot be equipped with Red, Blue, or Green lights on the front unless you're an official vehicle.

dang.

other colors ok though? Like maybe orange, or perhaps something in a nice yellow....I guess I should go check my 64 crayon crayola box. Again.

Go for Yellow!

have you ever seen what a red lens does to light?

get a small 'mag lite' flashlight with the lens kit, you will be shocked at how they 'filter' out about 95% of visible light.

also [like the fellows said] you wiil get busted SO fast.

red is for emergency vehicles only, mostly fire engines.

yellow has a lot of positive qualities.

thanks for the info. i am aware of the effects of a red lense on light...i also mentioned that I don't use my fogs anyway.
I just wanted the lense color to add something to the truck during the day. It had nothing to do with functionality or usability. that is why i am kinda shocked that you could get pulled over for just having them colored, even if they weren't used or even working.

yellow or orange is normally a good color to pierce through fog, they are also a hazard color, but allowed on street vehicles.... red will get you in trouble, even if they arent on.....
