remote deprogram

I have an 04 xlt.It cam with a keyless remote that I could not get to work.I want to order a Fusion key with the remote built in , but wanted to make sure the system was working , so i programed my wife's remote from her 07 Taurus and it works.So I plan to order the Fusion key soon , but now the remote I have works on the EX and the Taurus.Its ok if the cars are not together , but if the are the remote works on bouth of them!Is there a way to de-program the remote so it will not wokr on my ex?

They only can be programmed with a certain number of remotes so you should be able to program over the taurus remote in the ex with either a new one or at least a different one until you get the fusion one. I can't remember how many remotes you can program in one vehicle so do it several times.

You can program 8 keys and 4 remotes per vehicle.
