I just installed a new remote start on my '99 EB 5.0. Everything works great except when started remotely my heater/ac does not work. There are two acc. wires, one has power with the ignition turned to acc. and run, the other wire has power only in the run position. I used the later. There is power at that connection when the truck is started remotely so I don't know what im missing? Thanks in advance.

Sounds like the wire you didnt use turns the climate on.

When I installed one in my 1992 Explorer, I went step by step with their wiring guide, and didnt have a radio/wipers/climate/etc when it was remotely started. I wasnt worried about the radio and whatnot, but I wanted climate, so I looked up more wiring diagrams and had to hook up the second(?) accessory wire.

Thanks very much I did that and it worked great.
