Remote start only works from front ?

My remote start only works from in front , if I stand behind I can seem to make it work . Both my fobs . Is this as designed ? Or is there an issue ? Weak fob batteries ?

Do you have anything plugged into the 12V outlets or USB ports. If you do, unplug them and try again.

Certain devices cause RF interferance and the receiver for the FOBs is at the bottom of the center console

The USB had an Ipod nano (4th gen) in it .

My remote start seems to have a mind of it's own lately. The only thing plugged into the USB port is an Android charger cord without the phone or any other device plugged into said charger cord. I'll try removing the cord and report back.
