Has anyone installed one on the 91-94? If so what model did you use and do you have any pictures. Would it be best before the cooler or after?

Yep, bought a hydraulic filter head that takes a common oil filter. Mounted it next to the coolant overflow reservoir. Used rubber lines from barbed fittings then copper tubing to the cooler. I have two stacked plate style transmission coolers, in series. I didn't think it would matter if you put the filter before or after the cooler(s) but I guess it would flow easier through the filter when hot... up to you.

Here are a couple old shots of our setup. Since then I have pulled the trans fluid out of the radiator heat exchanger but that is not a good thing to do if you get cold temps which we don't see here in Southern Az.

I use an oil filter adapter with the standard fl1a style filter.

There are a few threads on here about it too but most of us just use the same things. Fl1a filter (same as your engine uses), 300 psi rubber hose and an remote oil filter adapter.

I ran ours before the coolers so it would have thinner fluid running through the filter.

To keep it cool we are running it though two stacked plate style coolers and have a 10" fan on one which runs whenever the torque converter is not locked.
