removing air filter box

I need to remove the lower half of my air filter box but it doesn't want to come out. I don't see any screws or clips...how does it come out? It's a 97 v8 5.0

in mine there are two rubber cork's that sit at the bottom and the box has two plastic rod's that go in i just stuck a screw driver in and pulled the sucker out. i thought it might break but it didn't it's pretty tuff.

same for me, it was a b!tch to get out. just stuck a flat-blade screwdriver under the plastic rods and tried to pry them out. i think i eventually just gave it a few "encouragement" yanks and it came out.

use those muscles on your arms and pull hard.. dont be scared.. just pull hard
