removing front sway bar

perfectly said....i removed both of mine a week ago and man it rides so much better...there is a little more roll but like everbody sais, just slow down on ur turns...to me it doesnt feel unsafe by any means....before when i went over bumbs you could hear everything shake on the inside of the car. now its smooth as hell

:p: I could'nt help myself, This thread needed a positive spin.

I originally looked at it curious, thinking it could have been the culprit on whats causing my front end/steering wheel to shake at higher speeds:scratch:

:banghead: oh well more searching!

 I know this is an old thread but I wanted to share my experience.....Anyways I've been running my lifted Explorer (4inch super lift) with no front or rear sway bars for about 2yrs now and I love how it handles, I actually believe it handles better then when I had them connected.

Long story short if you know the vehicle and are comfortable driving it without the sway bars its your choice.

My boring .02 cents for the day :wavey:

You're right that it is your choice, obviously, but people need to understand that there is a difference between driving the truck under normal conditions, and needing it to respond in under incredible stress in an emergency maneuver.

You might be able to become comfortable with how the truck drives and feel very safe in normal driving, but bottom line is that if you need to swerve and jerk the truck to avoid a collision, you are a lot more prone to a full rollover, endangering yourself and others.

Just sayin..

I agree with you and If my vehicle wasnt already in the air, I wouldnt of thought twice about removing them.

Love your truck as a side note :)

Thanks man. Drive safe.

end links

It's one thing to drive on road with no end links but off road it won't take to long before you start over extending the front drive axles, lots of fun being out in the middle of nowhere with a busted drive axle, already on my third left front, finally decided that IFS sucks and bought a JEEP. The end links supplied with the Superlift kit suck.

This is the reason I removed my front sway arm, I havent ran into any issues over extending the Cv axles, the Superlift drops everything 4 inches including the axle itself but just incase I carry spares for each side when out wheeling.
