Anyone know an easy way to remove the 4 silver trim pieces from the steering wheel to be able to repaint them?

I just did this the other day..

first you have to pry off the two plastic bolt covers on the side of the steering wheel base..

then undo the nuts, and the cover should come off with the airbag...(just to be safe i disconnected the battery to make sure i didn't accidentally short the airbag)

now heres the downside ...in order to get the pieces off you basically have to break them because they're glued together by a post in the middle, but even if you break that they still snap back together...i haven't had any problem with mine coming loose
