replacement door mirror

does anyone know if you can replace the door mirrors on an 06 xlt to earlier models say 05 or do ford do a different type to replace these

The shape of the mirror on the 05 is different from the 06, so I don't think you can interchange them.

thanks for the reply, i thought they were differant but being here in the uk 05 x is very difficult to find.
do you know of any aftermarket mirrors ????

I think the earlier Gen III's used the same mirrors as the Later Gen 1's and Gen II's if I'm not mistaken. I don't care for the look of the new square mirrors of the newer models...

Maybe someone has one off, It could be the same mirror in which case there should be a lot more of those floating around, and you could just replace both of them... My '03 had puddle lamps too...
