Wondering if anyone could give me some advice on what brand of replacement/aftermarket leaf springs to put onto my 2000 V6 SOHC XLT 4WD? Bought the truck used and immediately noticed that the rear would sag with even the slightest weight on it. Went to the dealer and they gave me "the run-around" telling me that only for one side, the leaf spring alone would cost $500, which is just insane to me. I'm also looking to buy whatever other parts are normally bought with them (ie, shackles, bushings, etc). Any help would be great.

Thanks,
Stephen

Monroe 58617 rear load adjusting shocks may not be the "right" way, but mostly positive feedback may be worth considering.

IIRC, some here used these with good results. Shipping cost may be a deal killer though, also check your local spring shops.

I had the same issue. Used the Monroe shocks for years with great results. I eventually went to the junk yard and grabbed passenger side leaf packs. I then used the add a leaf kit from summit racing to add a bit of strength to them. The difference is night and day and the junkyard price was 40 each not bad at all.
