I had a big tree limb fall acroos the hood of the X a few weeks ago. It subsequently broke the grille, headlamp assy. and cornering light. I need to find replacements. I can find them used, but would like to buy them new. What is a good website that carries the parts that I am looking for? Thanks for your help.

JUNK YARD! i rolled mine and almost everything is replaced thanks to the junk yard. Good luck!

Junk yard parts aren't new though...

...just a heads up...we have a great used parts guy on here...he is a member, a vendor, and he is in pa.... and he ships parts all over...;)
...if you look on the bottom of the forums page for kbabiak, you can click on his name and pm him...good luck...:D

Well I ended up just getting used parts. I was gonna replace with new, but then I would have had to replace both headlights b/c they wouldnt match. And then I thought to myself, this is a 98 explorer not a porsche. I got the drivers side headlight assy and cornering light for $65 not to bad. I still need a grille and bumper though. That can wait until I find it at the local u-pull it. Thanks again for your help.

About where in the state are you located?

Harry's U-Pull-It has locations from north to south in the eastern half of the state. In addition, in Scranton is DeNaples auto/salvage, which has a combination warehouse and u-pull-it yard. I only suggest that if you go to DeNaples, act respectful. Louis DeNaples has been accused of having ties to organized crime. :D

Thats where I would get the parts. I went over last week and they did not have what I needed. Its crazy. I go there looking for parts for the ranger and there are tons of explorers, the next time I go there are tons of ranger parts and no explorers... I will check back in a week or two when they put out the new line. Its quite convienent having Harrys 5mi from your house.
