I've got a 2018 FPIU with the factory drain plug. Already done several fluid changes over the last few years but the socket on the plug is getting pretty nearly stripped. I can't find any OEM parts for it and at this point I'm nervous to remove it to try and measure it in case I'm unable to torque it back in.
I see plenty of threads about adding a drain plug to a PTU without one and a couple posts about the specs of the pre-2016 plug type, but nothing about my model post-redesign.
1) Does anyone know the thread pitch and length of the factory plug?
2) Is there enough clearance to get a generic hex-headed drain plug in there or does it need to be a socketed one like the stock?
3) Is there any particular brand that's trustworthy rather than just buying the Amazon special Chinesium plugs?
Thanks in advance!
