I have successfully completing replacing the jack shaft chain tensioner (as it was broken to bits!!), and the front left bank chain guides.

I would now like to have a look/attempt the right back timing chain guides but all of the threads I have read say you have to pull the engine out. As I don't have the facility or equipment to do this has anyone successfully replaced the right rear without the need to remove the engine.

Any help would be most appreciated.
Thanks
Andy

rear cassette removal

The bolt that holds the lower portion of the rear guide assembly is behind the flexplate as is the bolt that attaches the rear jackshaft sprocket. It is not possible to replace the rear chain without either pulling the engine or pulling the transmission. One member has stated that his mechanic replaced the guide assembly without pulling the engine or transmission but the head was off allowing access to the lower bolt.

Thanks for the speedy response - it was what I expected :-(
