The switch is located on the passenger side below the glove box on the side of the foot well. Just press down to re-set it.

its to the right of the tranny hump... might need to pull the carpet back a little bit..... its a black switch and is pushbutton type... it will lock back into place once it is depressed

David's description is the closest. It is on the firewall, not behind the kickpanel. It is a few inches from the corner, basically where the firewall becomes vertical above the rug.

There is a red button on all Ford fuel pump shut off switches. It is always on top, because it is actually on top of a cylinder which has a moving piece inside. When a hard impact causes the internal part to dislodge outward and up, the red top button is moved upward. Resetting it, pushing down, resets the internal piece, which connects the power.

It's a great switch that could be used as an anti-theft device. You could use it as a hidden switch to disable the any vehicle circuit. Regards,

I also am having the same problem, the truck wont start and makes a fast clicking sound. So I tried to reset my fuel pump switch (red push down button that will pop up if pushed up with say the truck key, and the press it down to reset it, in a black box) but, the truck still will not start. I can see the engine turn over but then makes a clicking sound, very fast. Any ideas?

Yes check your other thread.

the "inertia switch" or fuel pump cutoff switch is used for accidents, when the truck is hit hard or rolled over the power to the fuel pump is cut. they typically do not cut power otherwise.

You can listen for the fuel pump to prime when the key is turned to the ON position.

If the fuel pump comes on your inertia switch does not need to be re-set.
Fuel relay and fuse issues are more common causes for the fuel pump not coming on then the inertia switch.

A clicking noise has NOTHING to do witht he fuel system IMO.

clicking noise= dead battery most of the time
