I was doing some trail riding today and after climbing quite a steep hill, I needed to reverse to make a tight turn. I used 4WD low, then kicked it to 4WD Auto at the top (Yes, I used Neutral). When I shifted to reverse, it buzzed. I put it in drive, then tried again, and it buzzed again. I drove forward a little, then tried it, and it went into reverse no problem. A few times on the trails I tried reverse for the hell of it and it was fine after. Any ideas what may have caused this problem, and is it anything to worry about? I was dead scared I had lost my reverse gear...

It sounds to me like your t-case hadn't fully made the shift from 4low to auto-4wd, and was floating between gears. By pulling forward you allowed the case to complete the shift.

the way it sounds to me was that you were turning at very low if any speed and what you possibly heard could have been the power steering being maxed out
