I am planning on changing the gears in my differentials in my 94 explorer. Right now i have 3.27 and 30 inch tires. I've heard that I should go anywhere from 3.73 to 4.56. Just wondering what everyone here thinks. The biggest tires I would consider are 32's but I most likely will stay with the 30s. I also would prefer to be geared too low rather than too high if it comes down to a compromise. So im just asking what everyone here thinks.

I would vote 4.10:1. Pretty good for 32s, and just a little low for 30s.

I'm running 3.73's with 31's and would recomend the 4.10's if you are going to 32's.

4.10

I also vote 4.10, my 4.0 Ranger has 3.73 with 31's, and I would like to have 4.10's.

I am on 31's and 4.10s right now. Its great. gas mileage will suffer on the highway but all the extra grunt is worth it. Plus you can go up a few tire sizes later with these.

I just went from 3.27 to 4.10's and love it. I had stock tires and now run 33's. I considered going up to a 4.56 but I do so much freeway driving that I didn't want my milage to go down too much.
