Today was a productive day. my father in law came over to my shop and helped me build a set of rock sliders for my X.

Looks good, you may want to consider using plates on the mounts to the frame rail. You have to realize how many psi will be placed on the slider mounts when you use them as a jacking point or if you get high centered. You may wanna consider making some 6"x6" plates or smaller and drill and bolt the mounts to the frame plus weld the plates to the frame. Also what type of steel are you using for the slider rails? Definately wanna go 1/4 or 3/16 wall.

They are built from the same size tubing we use for roll cages, .120 wall. I will be adding gussets later on, until then i have no plans to drag them across rocks, besides we usually dont encounter that type of terrain while prerunning in the desert. ;)
