Yeah I think I will just slot..

You too..LOL..Good night.

Oh yeah let me know how your rotor job turns out.

Over torquing lug nuts will almost guarantee that as soon as the rotors heat up, they will warp. When having tires put on my vehicles, I usually remove then bring the tires and wheels in (NOT the vehicle) and remount and torque the wheels myself. Technicians at tire and brake shops are pressured for time so it saves time to put the lug nuts on with the impact wrench, usually overtorquing them.

If I must take the vehicle in (like for state inspection) I have also been known to hand the service manager MY torque wrench, properly set to 100ft/lbs, and tell them that if THEY don't have time to torque the nuts properly on MY car, I'll do it my damn self!

Need your own torque wrench? While this is not the best and most expensive, it WILL do a good job for you and well worth the price! (And it's on sale right now for $9.99!)

k...my husband told me he would do it...... so we will seee....he said that i will need new brake pads in the front probably again like u had mentioned ans adi those werent hart to put on....so when i get 350 dollars i can order it all....and i will tell you what happens

Maybe you can get the rear rotors machined since they have not been yet, and that will save you some cash from buy rotors for the back.
I think if the man can fix and f-16, brakes and rotors are a cake walk...unless you wouldn't fly in a plane he fixed..LOL..
while you have to rotors off this is s great time to flush out the brake lines with new fluid. Its cheap to do. Just buy a large DOT3 brake fluid. Start from the furthest point. right rear. loosen the "bleed valve" and pump the brakes a few times..close the valve fill the resevoir and repeat until the fluid runs clean. Do this on the rear left, then front right and finally front left. You will see an improvement in brake feel and response.

Go with the name brand..Brembo makes good rotors.

I agree, I have a set of Brembos with Hawk pads. Excellent combination that also reduces brake dust by 80%. :)

Make sure you do a proper pad to rotor bedding for longevity and optimum performance.

The brembo rotors are they just regular or are they cross drilled or slotted or both or oem replacements

The brembo shown are OEM replacement, but they are better very good quality rotors. Don't go with no name brands. Those others tend to warp no matter what you do. I think the price is reasonable.

I have a question for TommyEx and anyone else who has used drilled/slotted rotors. Has anyone eveer had them resurfaced/turned? I ws taling with someone who worked in a MW dealership and he indicated that they are always replaced and never resurfaced.

Drilled/Slotted rotors are moredifficult to resurface, so many places won;t do it.
BTW, don't buy OEM replacements from AutoZone. Four sets I went through, always with an ABS light / screw ups. Finally put on some drilled/slotted and no light, perfect braking every time.
Sommerville, Natick (MA) AutoZones both gave me bad rotors.
