I decided the Explorer would look better with no running boards so I proceed to pull them off and see what it would look like, but little did I know what I was instore for.
This is what I found.
All the rust that fell out
And my temporary repair that consisted of whire wheeling all the rust out and using some silver rustoleom paint that matched ok. Once I figure out how to fix it I will which will probably mean welding in some new metal.
