I just bought my 98 ford explorer 2 door sport 5 speed last month and it is already giving me problems. the only thing i have really noticed that has changed while im driving is when i try to start the car sometime it doesnt do anything. the radio wont even turn on, its kinda like trying to start a car without a battery in it. I was going to get new spark plugs and wires to put in it but have not had the money. can someone help me because this is the secound car in a row that has done this while im driving.

It is common this time of year for these code threads to pop up.

If you use the search feature, typing in those codes it will direct you to threads where replacing the intake manifold gaskets fixed the problem.

Cold weather makes the gaskets shrivel up and hide---kinda like , you know who.
