Rust Problem

Does anyone know if a dog leg panel from a 3rd gen explorer will fit/work on a 4th gen? I Have a 2006 explorer with some pretty bad rust and they don't make anything after the 2005?..

I know it's been two years, but I'm in the same boat. Do you happen to have experience trying them? I can shape metal pretty well, so if theyre close, it might be a better starting point. I'd love to hear the difference if you know off hand.
