Rusted frame reinforcement

Hey guys --

Looking for some leads on parts. I just picked up a 2001 Sport Trac with a five speed in Pennsylvania. Good condition over all, but there's quote a bit of rust on the frame reinforcement (the pieces that stick up vertically from the rear of the frame to the bed.) Apparently Ford doesn't carry them anymore. Any leads on where I could find a pair? Or any workarounds?

tony is a great source or if that cant work check the yards around you for a good reinforcement. talk with midnightrebel (jerry) he is one of the PA guys on here with lots of knowledge on the trac he's out towards pittsburgh.

If you know how to weld you can easily replace the frame to bed mounts using steel tubing or angle iron. If you were closer I could weld it up for you. Can you post pictures so we can further help you figure out exactly what you need and how to easily and cheaply repair the rust issues.

if not i might be buying a parts sport trac if you want to take a ride and take off what you want before i take it a scrap yard

I don't have a way to run OE numbers. If you can reply with the items you're looking for I can see if we have them.
