Salvage yard wrecks from work

Put A Propane System On The Tow Truck. Propane Is Like Nitrous To A Rice Burner. :) Except Diesel Racing Is More Cooler! :)

Used to drive an older international with a 5-speed and 2 speed rearend, governed at 72 miles per hour, slower than crap. Would piss me off when someone would cut me off, took forever to get back up to speed.

I wonder what a wrecker needs a burnt car for as well. Just scrap metal left most of the time.

Found this one at a local wheeling area and could not see anything that could be used again.cooked ex

I hope the link works!

Spas, did you say those POS Vans ran on Propane? if so, would you be able to find out what the auction would want for a tank? I know someone that wants to run a LPG sysatem in his Zuki, run at any angle:D

Sorry Rat, they were gigantic natural gas tanks..something like 4 feet across by 2.5 feet long.

I tell ya-try driving home with one of those buggers leaking all over your bed and see if you don't freak out every time somebody throws a lit cigarette out the window....

Well, wouldnt that be considered a hazadarous material? Do you have a hazmat license? Or does that not apply in this type of situation?

My dad works for a gas company, and he drives a truck especially for hauling natural gas to places that need it when they work on gas lines. He has to have a hazmat for that i do beleive, but it may be different from where your from

Don't know, don't wanna know!

If I get stopped for any D.O.T. reason I tell them my boss made me do it ;) (Okay, it sounds like a joke, but it's true...he's really careless)

i want more pics!!!!

Edselman,
Did you want a badge from a Ford c700?

I'm sure I can pull one off our water truck.. Heck, it would just be another part that fell off..

Here is what is is....

small-water-truck-white-background.jpg

I know what you mean about people pulling out in front of you..

Currently, the water trucks brakes aren't as good as they should be.. and I have learned.. don't go get water on Friday nights where there is a football game at the highschool. I have to drive by there and I get people walking out in front of me.. and cars pulling out in front of me..

When I have 16,000lbs of water plus the weight of the tanks, pumps and the truck itself. a 6.1L Ford GAS motor with an alison 4 speed auto tranny just doesn't get me moving very well.. and doesn't stop very well right now either (it does stop better than it accelerates.. but I'm getting a very strong right leg)..

Hello Mark,

Looks Cool :) So One Just "Falls Off?" :) How Much Is Shipping?

Dane

As soon as one falls off :) I'll just put it in the USmail.. should be dirt cheap.. (maybe even close to free If I send it from work)..

I'll see if one falls off before the weekend.. (It could happen.. the mirror on the drivers door about fell off last week.. all of the bolts except one fell out)

Hey Mark,

Did The Badge Fall Off Onto Your Foot? After You Kicked It Around, Is The Badge Still In Good Shape?! :D J/K :)

Merry Christmas,

Dane

more pictures!!!

Damn! Bloodthirsty, are we? LOL

Sorry it took so long- I wanted to wait until after the snowstorms to get in all the good stuff!

When I went to pick this one up from Enterprise, I looked at it, at my work order, and at the lot attendant, then said "This says 2002 Pontiac Grand Am..not Pontiac Pancake!!!"

NEVER seen a car do this before, even though I've seen enough to know nothing's impossible.....

That silver one USED to be a 2003 Altima (Another rental wreck)

I brought in the red Dakota next to it..the bed had moved over half a foot from impact!

Oooh, wow, that is wild. Any other cool pics like that one? I would love to work in a "junk yard". You have a cool job!

I wish I *worked* in the salvage yard too :( All I get to do is drop off the wrecks, or else I'd be in there with friends and a CRAPLOAD of tools, lol. There's a lot of parts that I would gladly give to pals for their projects, but stealing is baaaaad!

I have some more shots I can dig up and I'm always taking new ones, so I'll post as I get them!
