Its been raining 3 days straight now in Brownsville and almost all of the roads are closed because of flooding. Heres a few flex pics I took and some of the roads around Brownsville. Enjoy!

Dang... that sure is a lot of water. Can we have some? We've been like 75 days without rain!

Its supposed to keep raining like it has been for about 2 more days, and I just went back to where it was about a foot deep earlier and now its about 2 feet deep and still rising. A snorkel is looking more and more like something I should think about getting for my Explorer. :D

dont forget the extended breathers too, or you may save your engine but your diffs and transmission will still rust out ;)

sucks about the rain..

but i have to say thats one of the best looking SAS'd Xs i have ever seen. i mean its not got a huge amount of lift or tires that stick out 12" past the fenders. very clean looking!! great job.

I picked up an extended breather hose from a Heep grande cherokee for 25 cents at the local pick a part, and I've also got one for the rear. Both hoses go into the cab away from the water. Thanks 96limitedX! I wanted to keep a low ride height and also be able to run some 32s or 33s since its my daily driver. It flexes great and handles nice on the road.

damn, looks like fun

so do you enjoy being able to go through "road closed" signs with confidence will people in their little sissy cars have to turn around? Cuz i know i love cruising around in the snow while little cars are spinning in circles trying to get out of their driveway.

If I did ever decide to make a snorkel, I'd have to make some sort stock air box to go over the KKM intake. Making a box out of aluminum to cover it and sealing everything with some sort of caulking glue wouldn't be hard, but I dont like the idea of using PVC pipe or some sorta flex tubing as the actual snorkel. Does anyone make an ARB like snorkel for Explorers?
I really do enjoy driving in semi deep water when little sedans can't, but I've already seen like 5 or more articles in the local paper about idiots that either drove too fast and stalled out their engine or tried to drive a Geo Metro through a 2 1/2 foot river of water.

do the snorkel!

i almost killed my Jeep today....bout drowned in a mud/water bog at a local spot. eek gotta replace the air filter now.

I have decided what im going to do after my jeep dies :)....axle comes out and under the explorer! cheap SAS if i do say ;).
