I just finished installing a 150-channel trunk-able scanner in my explorer. If you're interested, got to www.jonmcleod.com for details. Now if I could just figure out how to use it...

JonM,
That is a nice looking scanner i dont know about down in Florida but her in Pa just About all the cops went digital, the fire and rescue dispatcher and one police unit is all i get pretty soon everyone will be digital and there will be no use for scanners and more Dead Link Removed ( i love my scanner i would not give it up for anything) Hopefully they will come out with something that picks up digital radios.

Do you have 150 codes to load that scanner up?
when i first bought my scanner i was getting arouond 15 channels now im only getting 4.

J91FORD,
At this point, no one is digital - yet. I haven't had time to program anything in yet - just install the thing Dead Link Removed I have a client that is a State Trooper and will be getting the frequencies from him in a few days. I am looking forward to the thing running, but I hope I get more than 4!

Go to Radio Shack, and buy the guide book.
It gives you the frequency of every licensed radio in your state, of course it includes a description of the service using it and there base location.

Thank God the Philly cops won't be going digital anytime soon. i would hate to to be able to hear them reply to code 3 at the donut shop!
