haha, well they are custom chariot spring leaf springs.. they are based out of fontana and they did a great job, and i recommend them to anyone. well i guess im probably going to go with the shackles in the back.. but i heard they wear down the arc of the leaf spring.. is tht true?

ooo yea tht cable thing is attached to my ipod... and it hard wired in so i can just plug my ipod in

Shackles could result in a minor amount of less arc, but I haven't/didn't notice any with mine and it doesn't seem to be a common problem. I think you'll be ok with them. If nothing else, put them in. If the springs seem like they're losing arc, take 'em out.

also.. i heard that it can change the angle of the driveshaft... is this true?

Any time you lift the suspension the driveshaft angle is going to be farther off. It won't be a problem on only 5" of lift.

Lift

The truck looks really good, you have done a nice job. I can hear the Sounds from here.

Did you ever catch up with Jeremy?

no.. i didnt go with the body lift.. i just did more TT.. but thanks for the compliments

Shackles are one of the easiest jobs on an Explorer. Takes about 15-20 minutes if the bolts aren't rusted.

haha yea i did the shackles today.. took about 30 min with air tools.. for everyone to know.. take off the back wheels bf u begin.. bc mine was so high i couldnt use floor jacks until i did
