ok i ran a search on it with a few results but the dates were kinda old so i thought I would get some update opinion on it,

has anyone used it? anything good to say about it?

I want to put it in my ranger and see if it will do anything about the rough shift it has before i start ripping stuff apart,

i was just curious if the transmission additive had as good as a reputation as the engine additive :D

no one?

I googled around and found this site with this statement:

I haven't used the additive that Jeff is mentioning, however I have used Sea Foam "Trans-Tune" with excellent results. 1988 Honda Accord with auto transaxle. Rough shifting, "misses" shift between 3rd and 4th. After draining and changing the fluid twice, adjusting the Throttle valve cable with little or no results, I was convinced that I was going to R & R the tranny....not a pleasant (or cheap) thought on this vehicle. Decided to try this additive and am absolutely amazed! Smooth shifting and in about 600 miles so far....only one slip between 3rd and 4th gear. I wouldn't have believed it. Sure is a cheap "fix" to try when you are looking at significant work....even if it doesn't work for you, it is worth a try!

I think I might do this with my Acura this weekend.

cool thanks for the link,

i'm gonna go ahead and use the trans tune on Friday and drive it around for a bit, it only has 1 rough shift so if it mellows it out to a tolerable point i'll just change the fluid instead of the pulling tranny apart (grandfather thinks its the valvebody dirty or plugged)

I tried trans tune once, and I didn't see any change in my transmission. But, I think that's because the problem I was trying to fix wasn't caused by crud in the transmission; the valve body and such was clean.
My gut feel was that the trans tune would be most useful ~1000 miles before changing the ATF. Give it a chance to clean stuff out of the transmission to be removed with the old fluid/filter.

hey thanks alot :D
