seat belts hard to pull

ok i have a 94 xlt and the seatbelts are really getting hard to pull out and they squeak like they need to be lubed? i dont know how to do this with out it getting on the belt or anything has anyone had this problem and how did u fix it with out getting the belt dirty

Seat belts are not the thing to tinker with.
I would just replace them with new.

Lives depend on these things.
This is not an area to skimp or cut corners.

its not that there is anything wrong with them they just dont retract all that well anymore once u take them off and there has to be away to lube what ever makes them retract no?

Time to get new seat belts. There is a spring mechanism inside the retractor assy. It gets weak/breaks over time.

MONMIX is right, don't mess with 'em.

and how much am i looking at to replace these? this truck is one thing after another lol
