Sorry, if this is a repeat question....but does anyone know if seats from a '99 explorer sport will bolt directly onto a '93 explorer sport? Thanks in advance :D

Will front and back (60/40) work? or just front?

id liek the same setup as i have now..2 front captains/buckets and the rear 60/40 i believe

I would like new seats in mine.. but not the explorer 96 an up seats since they are smaller and don't go back as far.. Has anyone put replacement seats in their explorer (something you can recommend?)

I'm pretty sure all seats from 91-01 are interchangeable .

Speaking from experience, 91 seats are not compatible with others, the rails are different lengths.

The 1991 Explorers are the oddballs, all later seats interchange. I've had my 99 Limited seats bolted into my 93 Limited. I like the 93/94 Limited seats much better, I've swapped them back in.

Is there a difference between the Sports, and the 4dr. models when it comes to the tracks?

The seat tracks on the Sport should be slightly different to allow easier access to the back seats.

I know the back seats are different, as the back seat is placed inbetween the rear wheel wells.

My drivers seat has crushed down a bit.. so if I was to keep them I would need the cushioning in it replaced.. and the armrest is broken as well. Maybe I should look for replacement seats from a parts car - or wrecker.. (my seat from my other 91 was crushed down as well)

I love the size of the seat as I am 6'3"

The seats in the Sport after 96 do not go far enough backwards.

I wonder if the seats from a Mustang would work and then add a center console. Hmm.

Speaking from experience, 91 seats are not compatible with others, the rails are different lengths.

Speaking from experience you can but 2nd gen seats into a 91 X just have to remove the 2nd gen seat tracks and reinstall the 91 seat tracks onto the second gen seats and bolt them in:D
